Activity 9/2/2020 (Learning Outcome 1)

This morning I went on a walk with my mom and my two dogs. Although I had to get up much earlier than I would have normally needed to for school, this gave me an oppurtunity to wake up and start the day with a clear mind and to be more awake than I would have if I had just rolled out of bed. Althought it was hot and humid outside, like it normally is in Houston, it was also a nice day with lots of sun and several people out walking. Because I have not been in Houston for that long since the start of the school year I am not used to the heat, and that made it somewhat difficult for me to walk at as fast of a pace as I would have liked. I forgot all of the sweat and how the heat begins to wear you out more quickly than it would if you were somehwere else. I know I need to get back into shape to be able to walk at a faster pace and even jog some, this morning was a good start for me to be able to get on a path of walking or running more in the mornings, and starting the day of with something active, which I think is very beneficial for me.

This was a part of learning outcome 1, because I was able to realize that running or walking in the mornings is something that I need to start doing more. I realize that as I start to get more into the year from a summer break it is important to keep up an active lifestyle and spend time outdoors because I know it benefits me. When I wake up early in the mornings and do something active I am more focused throughout the day, so becoming consistent in doing this will help me produce better work and be more productive.
