Service - 2/10/2021 (Learning outcome 1)

While we have gone through this pandemic and past year I have grown to realize how fortunate I am to be able to go to school, no matter how different it may be. Being able to leave my house and go for walks has been very helpful for mental health, but for some people they are not as fortunate. My neighborhoods senior center organzies projects for the seniors in our neighborhood who often can't leave their homes, and this week they organized tea kits. To assemble these tea kits my mother and I put teabags, chocolates, biscuits, and honey is mason jars and decorated them with fabric then delivered them to the senior citizens. This task was time consuming, but if I put myself in their place I would be delighted to find a cute little tea kit showing up on my front door. The next day after delivering them we received an email from one of the seniors who we gave a tea kit to. This email expressed the profound gratitude she had for what we had given her.
